To assist in the prevention of COVID-19 spreading, we are taking measures in our practice to protect our staff and our patients. The most effective way to minimize risk of the virus’s transmission is to reduce density and

maximize social distancing.  The care of your vision is very important to us as is our level of care and to ensure those practices are upheld, we are implementing the following procedures.

What we are doing in our practice-

a.   We are increasing the frequency and intensity of sanitizing our practice before and after every patient we see.

b.   We are scheduling patients on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9-5:30 for appointments and scheduling ample time in between to sanitize and to reduce the chance of being in the waiting room with other patients.  A technician will be telecommuting and available during these non- office hours for questions and to take payments for any account balances.

c.   We are available ON-CALL 24 hours a day for emergencies, please call the office and leave a message and one of our techs or Dr Bowen will call you can make arrangements to be seen.

d.  Staff have been directed to screen and monitor patients as they come in for their appointments to ensure that they are in the best health to be seen.  Please be patient as we ask these questions and take the time to take your temperature. As usual we ask that if you are not feeling well, please stay home unless it is an emergency related to your vision.

e.  Contact Lenses can be ordered to be sent directly to your home with payment expected at the time you order.

f.  Eyeglass orders may be delayed so we ask that you be patient during this transition. Please call the office to make arrangements to pick up your eyeglass order.

g.   Nutraceuticals and other supplies may be purchased by calling the office and we can make arrangements for payments over the phone and curb-side delivery during our open hours OR we can make other arrangements to get your supplies to you.

h.  Credit card Payments for your account will continue to be accepted by calling into our office number or you may still mail in a check to our main office.

TIP:    Wear glasses instead of contact lenses to reduce the number of times they touch your face.  As illness can disrupt the body’s natural tear production and lead to dry eye.  Without the necessary oils to protect and hydrate the eyes, trying to insert contact lenses can potentially further irritate the eyes or even damage them.

Thank you again for your understanding and you have questions or concerns, please call us.  We value and appreciate you and thank you for choosing us to be a part of your healthcare!
